Dr.-Ing. Alexander BAYER finished his studies in mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen with the emphasis on manufacturing technology, attended by a perennial collegiate employment at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineeering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen and at Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology. The diploma thesis related to the field of the use of lasers in the printing industry. Subsequently Dr. BAYER obtained his PhD by a scientifical employment for five years at Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology in Aachen in the field of microsystems technology.

Since 2004 Dr. BAYER is specialized in the field of industrial property law, the training as a patent attorney was finished in an international patent law firm in Düsseldorf. Dr. BAYER obtained his patent attorney admission in 2007 and was employed in an IP law firm office placed in Ruhr until mid- 2011, and until mid-2016 in a law firm in Düsseldorf. In the middle of 2016, Dr. BAYER became a partner of the law firm Walther ∙ Walther ∙ Hinz GbR, who was then renamed into Patent Law Firm Walther ∙ Hinz ∙ Bayer PartGmbB.
